Spanish Lagoon & Aruba Nautical Club

12° 28.2′ N · 69° 58.7′ W

A small, informal local fishing and powerboat club at the south end of the Barcadera harbour, far from town but very sheltered, at the mouth of Aruba's mangrove-lined Spanish Lagoon nature reserve.

Practical

Use the north Barcadera entrance, pass the clearance docks and head south close to the outer reef; pass between a white buoy (port) and a black buoy (starboard) to avoid shoals; about 12 ft; the club accepts visitors but often nobody is there (Virgintino 2015). About 15 minutes by car from town. Coordinate: OpenStreetMap marina. Noonsite (February 2026): the Aruba Nautical Club has berths, fuel, water and electricity; members of other yacht clubs may use the facilities but should check in advance - very limited availability.

Best for

Quiet, sheltered spot off the beaten track
