Seal Cays Wildlife Sanctuary (White Cay)

21° 11.1′ N · 71° 48.0′ W

Remote rocky cays on the far southeast edge of the Caicos Bank — White Cay, Indian Cay and neighbours — where sooty terns and brown noddies nest among mule-pear cactus.

Practical

Wildlife sanctuary; landing disturbs nesting birds. BoatTEST calls the sector south of the Ambergris Cays around the Seal Cays shoal-draft exploring only. Foreign poachers sometimes work these cays — report suspicious vessels to the marine police.

Best for

Expedition birding by shoal-draft boat
