Long Cay beaches & iguanas (South Caicos)
21° 28.3′ N · 71° 33.2′ W
Small, calm west-side beaches between low cliffs on Long Cay, with rock iguanas ashore and turtles, eagle rays and occasionally mantas in the gin-clear shallows.
Practical
In places the cay is under 100 ft wide. Its soft, semi-lithified dune cliffs crumble — keep well back from edges. Frigatebird rookery on nearby Moxy Bush cay. National park: no take; don't feed iguanas.
Best for
Beach and snorkel from the Long Cay anchorage
