Little Ambergris Cay nature reserve

21° 17.8′ N · 71° 41.3′ W

An uninhabited 1,600-acre maze of mangrove creeks, tidal flats and dunes west of Big Ambergris, with bonefish, sharks, rays, turtles, iguanas and birds — and a sand spit that runs 12 miles west to the bank edge.

Practical

Part of the Little Ambergris Cay and Fish Cays Nature Reserve: no fishing or collecting. Superb kayaking and paddleboarding from an anchored boat; extremely shallow around the cay. The resort's floating tiki bar is anchored nearby.
