Salt Pier
12° 5.0′ N · 68° 17.0′ W
The Cargill salt-loading pier's pilings are encrusted with sponges and corals, and big schools of fish hang in the striped shade under the conveyor - an easy, very photogenic shore dive.
Practical
Depth about 4.5-15 m (15-50 ft); easy entry for new divers (Tourism Corporation Bonaire). The pier is an active industrial terminal: diving is not permitted while a ship is loading or alongside - check with a dive shop before going. The solar salt works produce about 400,000 tonnes a year (Wikipedia). Coordinate: OpenStreetMap pier.
