North Bay Beach (Salt Cay)

21° 20.4′ N · 71° 12.1′ W

Salt Cay's best beach — 1.75 miles of white sand on the north shore with small reefs just offshore and Grand Turk on the horizon.

Practical

Usually sheltered from the trades; no formal access but many paths from the sand roads. Humpbacks are sometimes seen offshore in winter. Visit TCI calls it the best snorkelling close to shore on Salt Cay: the densest coral is at the far northwest (North West Point) and northeast ends, but conditions there are often rough, so go on calm days and don't snorkel alone.

Best for

Beach and snorkel walk from the anchorage
