Point Pleasant (Salt Cay)

21° 21.1′ N · 71° 12.3′ W · approximate

A shallow dive off the north end of Salt Cay with fine stands of pillar and elkhorn coral, on the spur-and-groove reef that rims the island before the wall.

Practical

Coordinate approximate: plotted off Salt Cay's north end, outside North Bay; get the site from Salt Cay Divers, the island's only dive operator. DAN Alert Diver (Q3 2023) gives no depth but says the shallow Turks Island sites are typically spur-and-groove at 25–40 ft. The north coast faces the open Atlantic: Visit TCI says conditions there often aren't optimal, so it's a calm-day site. Look but don't touch: elkhorn and pillar coral are fragile.
