Salt Cay salinas & White House
21° 19.6′ N · 71° 12.6′ W
Salt Cay is one big open-air museum of the salt trade — stone-walled salinas, sluice gates and windmill pumps — overlooked by the Harriott 'White House' at Dunscom Point in Balfour Town.
Practical
Wander freely; there's no single site. Salt Cay may have been the first island in TCI with organised salt production; output ceased by about 1960. Donkeys left from the salt days roam loose.
