Isla Grande's beach clubs and small family restaurants serve lobster and fish to boats at anchor, and vendors come alongside in canoes with crab, lobster and souvenirs.

Practical

Position is Manta Beach on the north shore near the Majagua anchorage (OSM). OSM maps restaurants around the island including Luxury Beach Club, Beach Bar, Gastro Bar Casa Chave and Restaurante Ecocamping Lolita (north shore near Majagua), Encantada Beach (by the lagoon), La Cocotera and Restaurante El Frutal (Cocotera), Sol y Papaya and Restaurante Marina (east), and Lizamar, La Pola, Kokomo and the Pizza place near El Pueblito/Caño Ratón. A charter operator describes lunch at anchor with 'many restaurants on the island happy to serve lobster and fish dishes'; ActiveCaptain reviewers (2013–2017) were greeted by boat vendors selling seafood and brought crab and lobster. Ask prices first; carry cash (pesos). Day-tripper music generally stops around 5 pm (Noonsite, 2017).
