Laguna Encantada & Isla Grande Mangrove Lagoons (Kayak)
10° 10.7′ N · 75° 43.7′ W
Isla Grande hides a chain of mangrove lagoons linked by narrow root tunnels - paddle a kayak from one still pool to the next and out through a gap to the open sea at sunset.
Practical
OSM position for the Laguna Encantada. A traveler report (Vakantio, undated) describes renting kayaks at a hostel, paddling through three lagoons connected by narrow mangrove 'tunnels' and out to the sea, with shallow water at the exit; the hostel staff explain the route. The national guide notes the mangrove-lined channels around the islands are navigable in small craft. Go in the late afternoon; bring bug spray. Park rules apply - no touching or cutting mangroves.
