Doc Poulson Wreck (West Bay)
19° 21.6′ N · 81° 23.9′ W
A small wreck on the West Bay reef close to the much bigger Kittiwake - an easy add-on dive with its own DoE mooring.
Practical
Position is the DoE public mooring 'Doc Poulson Wreck' (2023 GPX); Virgintino lists a 30-inch buoy at 50 ft. Pair it with the Kittiwake (about 250 m north-west). West side, settled trades only. Marine Park rules apply: use the DoE public mooring (free; white 18- or 24-inch buoy with a yellow stripe and yellow pick-up line; 18-inch for vessels up to 60 ft, 24-inch up to 100 ft; not in 25 knots or more; 3 hours or less; never leave the boat unattended - DoE brochure 2021), never anchor on coral, no take in Marine Parks.
