Bonnie's Arch (West Bay)
19° 22.2′ N · 81° 25.2′ W
A shallower West Bay site with a sponge- and coral-draped arch, a favourite with photographers and a good second dive after the deep canyons.
Practical
Position is the DoE public mooring 'Bonnie's Arch' (2023 GPX); Virgintino lists it as a 30-inch buoy at 45 ft. West side, settled trades only. Marine Park rules apply: use the DoE public mooring (free; white 18- or 24-inch buoy with a yellow stripe and yellow pick-up line; 18-inch for vessels up to 60 ft, 24-inch up to 100 ft; not in 25 knots or more; 3 hours or less; never leave the boat unattended - DoE brochure 2021), never anchor on coral, no take in Marine Parks.
