Corales del Rosario & San Bernardo Park Entry (Permit & Fees)

10° 25.3′ N · 75° 33.0′ W · approximate

Both the Rosario and San Bernardo islands (except Isla Palma) sit inside the Corales del Rosario y San Bernardo National Natural Park: visitors pay an entry fee, must register and sit a short induction talk, and follow strict no-touch, no-take rules.

Practical

Coordinate is approximate: placed at the Muelle Turístico La Bodeguita (OSM), where day visitors pay. Fee: the park's own page lists COP 11,000 for the San Bernardo sector, with no year given, and says to confirm with the park whether a fee applies and how much (verify locally); Wikivoyage recorded harbor tax plus park entry of COP 16,500 in July 2018 (verify locally). Pay online via the park's payment link (linkdepago.parquesnacionales.gov.co, park code P0013) or at La Bodeguita; check capacity and dates with the park first ('the first step'). Requirements: registration and the induction talk are mandatory before entering any protected area; carry ID and medical insurance; accident insurance is recommended. Departures for visitors 8–10 am from La Bodeguita (Cartagena) or the Carrera Primera dock in Santiago de Tolú; returns are set by the port captaincies and sea state. Yachts: there is no published yacht-specific permit - ask your maritime agent whether a fee applies, since the agent must authorize your trip to the islands anyway (Club Náutico), and the Coast Guard asks for a voluntary float plan. Rules: no anchoring on, standing on or touching coral; no collecting shells, starfish or coral; no fishing, jet skis or anchoring outside permitted areas (Noonsite); no single-use plastics, loud music or fires; don't let fuel or oil into the water. Contacts: ecoturismo.coralesdelrosario@parquesnacionales.gov.co; PNNC mobile +57 322 947 1031; office hours Monday–Friday 8 am–4:30 pm. Isla Palma (San Bernardo) is outside the park.
