Plaza de Bolívar Museums (Museo del Oro Zenú & Palacio de la Inquisición)
10° 25.4′ N · 75° 33.1′ W
Two museums face the shady Parque de Bolívar: the free Museo del Oro, with Zenú gold and the story of their ingenious flood-control canals, and the gruesome Palacio de la Inquisición, seat of the Holy Office tribunal from 1610.
Practical
OSM position for the Museo del Oro. Museo del Oro: free; the Cruiser's Guide notes it is closed Sundays and Mondays (Wikivoyage lists Tue–Fri 10 am–1 pm and 3–7 pm, Sat 10 am–1 pm and 2 pm onward; verify locally). Palacio de la Inquisición: Wikivoyage lists COP 17,000, Mon–Sat 9 am–6 pm, Sun 10 am–4 pm (verify locally). Folk dancers often perform in the park in the late afternoon. The Cathedral is on the corner.
