Ciénaga de Tintipán Anchorage (San Bernardo)

9° 47.7′ N · 75° 51.3′ W

A sheltered lagoon-side anchorage tucked into Tintipán's western mangrove fringe, reached by a twisting buoy-less route the official guide spells out in 14 waypoints.

Practical

Waypoint A18 from the national cruising guide (9°47'41.640"N 75°51'19.458"W). Use the guide's RTIN entry route (see Tintipán Ciénaga Entry passage), which starts south of the island at 9°47'12.420"N 75°51'07.980"W and threads north along the west side. No depths are given - go slowly in good light with a bow lookout. Mangroves mean bugs at dusk.
