Carenero Island Loop Trail

9° 20.8′ N · 82° 13.9′ W

A beach-and-jungle path almost all the way around tiny, car-free Isla Carenero — fiddler crabs, red-lored parrots at dusk and the best sunset view back over Bocas Town.

Practical

Position is the GeoNames island point. About two hours to walk all the way round; the northern tip is private and the path cuts across the jungle there; a cross-island trail in the south links Bibi's to the west side (Wikivoyage). Some sections poorly marked — keep the sea on one side (Tourism Panama). No roads or cars on the island (Wikipedia).

Best for

Easy shore walk from the anchorage
