Anchor in the lee of Isla Carenero, a stone's throw from Bocas Town's lights but a world away from its noise, with beach bars a short dinghy hop around the point.
Practical
Position approximate — placed in the channel between Bocas Town and Carenero's west shore, about 200 m west of Marina Carenero; sound in and keep clear of the marina docks and water-taxi lanes. The channel is only about 200 m wide (Noonsite). Fast water taxis cross constantly, often unlit at night (Noonsite). Dinghy to the marina (ask first) or to town. Lift and lock the dinghy at night (CSSN reports).
