Bocas Town Provisioning (supermarkets, Chinese markets & fruit stalls)
9° 20.4′ N · 82° 14.4′ W · approximate
Bocas Town's grid of streets holds everything a cruising boat needs — Chinese-run grocery stores, open-air fruit and vegetable stalls, a meat market, pharmacies and hardware shops — just not all under one roof.
Practical
Coordinate is the Bocas Town centre (Wikipedia); shops are spread along the main streets near the waterfront. Expect to visit several shops: the meat market, the fruit and veg stand and at least two Chinese markets for a full provision (Savarona, 2017). Larger orders: a restaurant-supply company delivers quality meats and cheeses with a one-week advance order, and Marina Carenero can arrange a truck delivery from PriceSmart in David (Noonsite). Almirante supermarkets are reported 10–20% cheaper than Bocas (Noonsite cruiser report, 2019). Changuinola on the mainland has better shopping and supplies than Bocas (Wikivoyage). Haul everything by dinghy — pick a calm morning.
