Union Creek Reserve
21° 13.1′ N · 73° 15.1′ W · approximate
A 6,150-acre BNT reserve of mangroves and an enclosed tidal creek on Great Inagua's north shore, a long-running research site for green and hawksbill sea turtles.
Practical
Coordinate is the one Wikipedia gives on its Union Creek Reserve redirect - treat it as approximate. BNT lists it as established 1965, marine, protecting mangroves and turtle habitat. Bahamas.com calls it nearly 5,000 acres of mangroves with endangered green and hawksbill turtles; it is used for captive research and is not generally open to the public - ask the BNT warden. The north coast is exposed and largely roadless; there is no cruising anchorage here.
