Henri Christophe's retreat legend (Northeast Point, Great Inagua)
21° 20.2′ N · 73° 1.1′ W · approximate
Legend says Henri Christophe, king of northern Haiti from 1811 to 1820, built a summer retreat at Great Inagua's Northeast Point and buried gold there.
Practical
Coordinate is the GeoNames North East Point; no surviving ruin is documented in my sources. Wikipedia also records Inagua's reefs claiming treasure ships between 1500 and 1825, among them the galleons Santa Rosa (1599) and Infanta (1788). The point is remote and roadless; the nearest anchorage is Calm Bay in SE winds.
