A deep-water lee pocket off Mayaguana's south-west shore, just west of the Abraham's Bay reef cut, popular as an easy night entry and exit on passage.
Practical
A fair amount of roll from the SE - a bridle helps. Good overnight option for winds NW to E; one crew found it smooth in 16 kt from N (Dec 2024) and easy to enter and leave at night. Good BTC signal, no WiFi, beach access. GeoNames places Start Bay at 22.3486,-73.1093, west of this anchorage.
