24° 13.8′ N · 75° 22.8′ W · approximate
Remnants of a short plantation-era railroad at Old Bight, billed as the only railroad ever built in the Bahamas.
Practical
Coordinate is the GeoNames point for Old Bight (Davis Settlement); the exact site was not verified, so ask in the settlement. Bahamas Marinas lists 'the Old Bight railroad, the only one ever built in The Bahamas' among Cat Island's historic sights, alongside the plantation houses. It is an easy walk or drive from the Old Bight anchorage. Father Jerome also built part of an old Catholic church in Old Bight (2015 report).
