Long Island Petroleum fuel dock (Salt Pond)

23° 20.3′ N · 75° 7.3′ W

The Salt Pond fuel dock and roadside station, recognisable by its big silver tanks: diesel, gas, water, propane, ice and a snack shop in one stop.

Practical

ActiveCaptain (2026): fuel dock only, gas, diesel and water; water about $0.20 per gallon but close to 500 TDS (drinkable, not great). Most of the approach is 7 ft or more until the last 200 ft, then under 5 ft at low tide; approach perpendicular to the south end and side-tie against the fender pilings; back out when leaving (very shallow bar at the north end). Wide open to the west; avoid in winds over 15 kt. High tide is about 2 hours after Nassau. Many cruisers bring jerry cans by dinghy to the concrete steps instead. Propane fills usually Wednesday (check). ATM run by an outside firm. Convenience store with snacks, bakery items and oils; you can leave a propane tank at the store. VHF 16.

Best for

Diesel, gas, water and propane mid-island
