The only marine fuel dock on Cat Island, at the entrance to the Hawk's Nest marina basin, backed by 40,000 gallons of diesel storage.
Practical
Coordinate is the ActiveCaptain marina marker; the fuel dock is immediately to port as you enter the basin from Hawk's Nest Creek, before the sharp turn to port into the slips. From 24°08.600'N 75°31.900'W steer about 064° magnetic up the creek. About 7 ft at mean low tide in the entrance. The creek runs up to 6-7 kt at peak, so time your fuel stop for slack or near high water, half-tide rising being best. Diesel confirmed by the marina; gasoline is shown in the ActiveCaptain listing (confirm). Call ahead on VHF 16 or 1-242-342-7050. Elsewhere on the island fuel is by jerry can from road stations (New Bight Service Station; gas near Orange Creek).
