Atlantic beach walk from Salt Pond
23° 20.6′ N · 75° 6.8′ W · approximate
A walk east from the Thompson Bay dinghy landing past the island's big salt ponds to the wild Atlantic shore.
Practical
Position is approximate, placed on the shore of the eastern Salt Pond (OpenStreetMap water areas) on the way to the Atlantic. A 2025 crew walked across the island past a big salt pond to an Atlantic beach heavily covered in plastic washed in by the sea. Wear shoes; there is no shade. Combine with the bat cave near the dinghy dock (headlamps; deep cracks in the floor).
Best for
A short cross-island walk
