Tuna Alley (Cat Cay)

25° 32.4′ N · 79° 17.2′ W · approximate

A reef slope south of Bimini near Cat Cay, falling from about 50 ft to 80 ft along a natural channel between reef formations where jacks, barracuda, tuna and Caribbean reef sharks gather.

Practical

Position is approximate: sources place it near Cat Cay on the bank edge without coordinates, so the point is set about 0.8 nm west of Cat Cay; do not navigate to it. My Out Islands lists 'Victories and Tuna Alley' together at 40-90 ft with swim-throughs and caverns. Rated intermediate; a diver review on Dive Planner Pro calls the currents tricky. Neal Watson's boats dive the Cat Cay reefs and use Honeymoon Harbour as the surface interval in winter. Cat Cay itself is private (see the Cat Cay entries).
