Cat Cay port of entry and fuel (members and guests)

25° 33.4′ N · 79° 16.6′ W

North Cat Cay is an official Bahamas port of entry with Customs and police on the island, but it is run as a private members' club, so for most cruisers it is a clearance and fuel option only by arrangement.

Practical

Position is the North Cat Cay breakwater light (Wikipedia: 25 33 22.5 N, 79 16 37.7 W, Fl W 2s), at the marina mouth. Wikipedia: an official port of entry, with Bahamas Customs and the Royal Bahamas Police Force present; the island remains a private club. ActiveCaptain (July 2020): the clearing fee became $500 and transients can no longer stay overnight. Gas and diesel are listed at the Cat Cay Yacht Club (ActiveCaptain fuel data last updated 2018): confirm whether non-members can buy fuel before relying on it.
