The long-running fishermen's marina, motel and restaurant in Grand Cay harbor, for decades the hub where cruisers and Florida sportfishermen tied up, cleared in and ate lobster. Rough around the edges and much loved.

Practical

Position from the ActiveCaptain listing. Status after Hurricane Dorian is unverified: the old rosiesplace.com domain now points to an unrelated US restaurant, so call around on VHF 68 or ask customs before relying on it. Pre-Dorian details from ActiveCaptain: outside T-dock takes boats to about 50 ft; dockage was $1.75/ft (2017) with power $15/day 30-amp and $25/day 50-amp, water $0.25/gal, gas and diesel at the fuel dock (diesel $5.40-5.85/gal in 2017, the priciest in the out islands); all prices verify locally. Shore power ran low (about 195-197 V in 2017), so smart inverters may not charge. Motel rooms with freezers for fishermen; showers were not always available. In 2019 the published phone numbers did not work and the office gave 242-727-7709. Entrance: 'very strong tidal flow', about 4 ft at MLLW in spots, keep to the right entering the harbor, a rock lies mid-channel, and the fuel dock comes before the channel mark, so don't overshoot. Tricky at night.
