A large, deep, good-holding anchorage west of the old Sampson Cay marina, protected from everything except a westerly. A useful halfway stop between Staniel and the park.

IMPORTANT: the marina and resort closed to the public in mid-2013 and Sampson is now a private island — no fuel, no water, no provisions, no shore access. Anchor only. Nearest services are Staniel Cay 5 nm south or Compass Cay.
