Cruisers Beach, Big Major Spot

24° 11.5′ N · 76° 27.4′ W

The pig-free beach on Big Major — a broad sweep of sand on the north side of the bay that cruisers have long used for bonfires, beach volleyball and impromptu potlucks.

Practical

Easy dinghy landing on sand. Bring everything in and take everything out — there is no trash service. Ask around the anchorage on VHF 16 in season. Sandflies at dusk, bring repellent.

Best for

Beach bonfire and meeting other crews
