The Anchor Inn building houses a small store and a laundromat as well as a restaurant, and it is the main place I found for provisions. Stock is limited, so buy bulk groceries in Anchorage.

The Whittier Chamber lists the Anchor Inn with a store, laundry and restaurant; a separate chamber entry names Anchor Grocery and Supply. A grocery on the ground floor of Begich Towers is also reported (2015 NPR feature). Opening hours and stock are unconfirmed. Whittier has no bank or large stores, so bring what you need before driving in.
