St George's Market Square is the capital's open-air produce and spice market on Granby Street, above the Carenage. It is the place to stock up on local fruit, vegetables, nutmeg, cinnamon and cocoa.
Practical
Position is the OpenStreetMap marketplace (approx). It is a steep walk up from the Carenage, or take a minibus from the terminal on the waterfront. The Fish Market is on Melville Street near the bus terminal. Supermarkets nearby are Foodland on Halifax Street and Supersavers. Wikivoyage notes both are open Monday to Saturday. Bring EC dollars in small notes. Boat International's 2026 Grenada itinerary recommends the market for fresh produce, spices and local goods.
