Petit Tabac
12° 37.4′ N · 61° 20.9′ W
The outermost cay, a tiny island of white sand and palms outside Horseshoe Reef where Captain Jack Sparrow was marooned in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.
Practical
Position is the islet as mapped in OpenStreetMap. All anchoring at Petit Tabac has been banned since 2023 after anchors damaged the coral; visit by dinghy from the lagoon and pull up on the beach, or by water taxi. The park planned dinghy moorings here. Long dinghy ride across the lagoon and through the reef area; only in calm conditions and good light. Bring everything back out with you.
Best for
A castaway picnic on the 'Pirates' island
