Petit Carenage Beach
12° 31.6′ N · 61° 26.1′ W
A long, narrow beach on Carriacou's far north coast, beyond Gun Point and a mangrove walk at L'Appelle, looking across to Petite Martinique. Caribbean Beat calls it the island's finest stretch of white sand.
Practical
Coordinate is the OpenStreetMap beach centroid. Reached on foot via a coastal mangrove trail beyond the Gun Point bluff, or by road from Windward (Caribbean Beat). Currents are confused off the beach and a ship's hull sits grounded on the reef to the east. Swim with care, and this is not an anchorage. The waters off it are part of the reef-strewn north coast.
Best for
A remote beach walk on a road-trip day
