Anse La Roche Beach and Trail
12° 31.1′ N · 61° 26.9′ W
A secluded, unspoilt beach reached on foot by a steep detour off the High North Nature Trail, at a paint splash on a big boulder, down through scrub and rocks. By boat, it is the dinghy landing for the anchorage.
Practical
Coordinate is the OpenStreetMap beach centroid. Route (Caribbean Beat): walk north from Hillsborough through Craigston and Bogles to the start of the High North Nature Trail, follow the coastal woodland path, then branch downhill at the paint-splashed boulder to the beach. Surf can roll in hard, so swim with care. Tim's Sunset Beach Bar and Restaurant sits at the north end of the beach (OpenStreetMap); noforeignland reviewers recommend a stop there. Wear proper shoes, and carry water and sun protection.
Best for
A walk-in beach day from Hillsborough or a land base for the anchorage
