Mahault Bay Beach (Canouan)

12° 43.9′ N · 61° 19.4′ W

Big Mahault and Little Mahault, twin white-sand beaches in a remote bay at Canouan's northern tip, reachable in practice only by sea - you will likely have them to yourself.

Practical

Position is Big Mahault Beach as mapped in OpenStreetMap (way 397330425); Little Mahault lies just west at about 12.7349, -61.3260 (way 397330424). AFAR: on the northern tip, accessible only by sea, no restrooms or facilities. The bay faces north and sits beside the private northern resort estate; beaches below high water are public, but do not walk inland. No cruising-guide anchoring data was found for the bay: treat it as a day stop by dinghy or tender in settled conditions, sound your way in, and expect it to be untenable in any northerly swell. Doyle's Canouan NW-point waypoint is 12 44.400N 061 20.000W.

Best for

A deserted-beach swim stop on the way north from Canouan
