Corbay Anchorage (Canouan)
12° 43.8′ N · 61° 20.2′ W · approximate
CLOSED TO ANCHORING. Corbay (L'Anse Guyac) on Canouan's north-west coast was once one of the island's most secure anchorages but has been closed to visiting yachts by government order since about 2016.
Practical
Coordinate is derived: water off the mouth of L'Anse Guyac/Corbec Bay from OpenStreetMap. Noonsite (2025) and Chris Doyle's 2016 report: anchoring is banned in Corbay after the bay was bought privately; beach access by land was still allowed locally. Do not plan to use it as a bad-weather refuge; go to Charlestown Bay or Sandy Lane marina instead.
