Havre de la Trinité Anchorage

14° 44.7′ N · 60° 57.5′ W · approximate

The sub-prefecture town of La Trinité sits at the head of a buoyed bay sheltered by the Caravelle. It is the north-east coast's port of entry, with full town services ashore.

Practical

Position is approximate, derived inside the bay between the TR-series channel buoys and the town front (OSM). Noonsite gives the harbour entrance as 14°45'30"N 060°57'33"W and lists Trinité as a port of entry. The customs brigade (Brigade de surveillance des douanes, Cité des douanes, Quartier Raisinier, +596 596 58 17 90) is on the 2026 list of approved clearance points. Pre-file online and get the certificate stamped. The bay is marked by a lit IALA-B channel (TR1 to TR11) with an Iso leading light (see passage 'Caravelle / Trinité Approach'). Régis Guillemot puts it 2-3 hours from Tartane. Ashore are a market, fish market, Ecomax supermarket, pharmacies, fuel stations and a hospital (OSM). Stage 4 of the 2026 Tour des Yoles started from Plage des Raisiniers here.
