Bridgetown Deep Water Harbour Clearance

13° 6.2′ N · 59° 37.6′ W · approximate

The official port of entry at Bridgetown's cruise and cargo port. Customs, Immigration and Port Health clear yachts in the passenger terminal, and you leave from here when you clear out.

Practical

Position is the Barbados Port Inc. facility inside the cruise terminal area, from OpenStreetMap (approx). Pre-register on SailClear. Barbados Port Inc. says Health, Customs and Immigration officers are at the Passenger Terminal from 6 am to 10 pm, seven days a week, with no extra fees in those hours. Inward documents: three copies of Customs form C61, clearance from the last port, crew lists (one for Customs, two for Immigration), all passports and a health report. Cruiser order (2020): Port Health on the first floor, then the Customs and Immigration boarding officers; about 15-20 minutes if all are present. The yacht berth in the commercial harbour is built for ships, with swell, high walls and no ladder, and cruisers have damaged boats there. Many anchor in Carlisle Bay with Signal Station permission and come in by dinghy or taxi (about US$10 in 2020; verify locally). Clearing out: first get the Barbados Port Inc. clearance from the Mooring Gang supervisor (5 am to 1 pm and 4 pm to midnight) by paying the BBD 100 anchorage/clearance fee in cash (no ATM or cards reported), then Customs and Immigration. Outward clearance is valid 24 hours, and you must go straight to sea. Coastal cruising or anchoring away from Carlisle Bay needs permission from the Customs Boarding Officer and Harbour Master. Chartering for money is prohibited. Port Inc. marine charges for yachts in port up to 50 m are BBD 412.50 for the first two days, then BBD 110 a day (2025 schedule), with 50% more on public holidays.
