West Dog Seabird Colony

18° 29.1′ N · 64° 28.3′ W · approximate

West Dog's steep volcanic cliffs host nesting bridled and sooty terns, red-billed tropicbirds and endangered roseate terns, best watched from a boat.

Practical

West Dog National Park (established 1974, 24 acres) is a bird sanctuary with NO ENTRY ashore: nesting seabirds may abandon nests if disturbed, so the NPT asks birdwatchers to view from the sea. Coordinate approximate, just off the island's north side (OpenStreetMap coastline).
