The Crawl (Virgin Gorda)
18° 26.0′ N · 64° 26.7′ W · approximate
A small bay at Spring Bay enclosed by a ring of boulders that forms a natural corral, once used to pen turtles and fish and now a sheltered natural swimming pool full of reef fish.
Practical
Part of Spring Bay National Park. Enter from the beach at Spring Bay; inside the boulder ring the water is calm and shallow, good for children and first-time snorkelers; outside the ring, swell and current can be strong in north swell. Reach it from the NPT day moorings off Spring Bay/The Baths or by land. Coordinate approximate: just inside the boulder ring, about 20 m from the OpenStreetMap 'The Crawl' label (18.43416, -64.44429), which falls on the rocks.
