Laguna Kiani and El Pobre Trail

A short mangrove trail at the refuge's west end ending at the mouth of Laguna Kiani, a calm lagoon for birding and paddling.
Practical
Position is the El Pobre trailhead at the Punta Arenas main road entrance (USFWS: 18°07'09"N, 65°33'20"W). The trail is 0.5 mile, easy, through mangrove forest with endemic and migratory birds, ending at the Kiani Lagoon mouth (USFWS). Kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding are listed refuge activities in lagoons. Reachable by dinghy and a beach walk from the Punta Arenas anchorage, or by road.
