The Nelthropp family's rum distillery on Estate Diamond, founded in 1760 and the only working historic distillery site in the Virgin Islands; tour the fermenters and five-column stills, then taste at the sampling bar.

Open Monday to Friday; guided tours at 12 pm, 1:30 pm and 3 pm, reservations required, booked online; the tour includes two mixed drinks and up to four samples; children welcome with juice or soda (GoToStCroix; verify locally). Mid-island, a taxi or car ride from either harbor. The Captain Morgan Visitor Center is about 3 miles east.
