Cayo Diablo

18° 21.8′ N · 65° 31.8′ W

The easternmost sandy cay of the Fajardo chain, five miles out from Cabo San Juan: low and grassy with white beaches on its north and south sides and clear water over the surrounding reef.

Practical

Position from OpenStreetMap. Coast Pilot 5: 5 miles southeast of Cabo San Juan, low with a 40-ft grassy hummock at its east end and white beaches on the north and south sides; between Cayo Diablo and Cayo Lobito 8 miles east-southeast lie the Hermanos and Barriles reef groups, with many reefs awash or nearly so. Exposed and far from shelter: a settled-weather day stop only, anchoring on sand in the lee. Part of La Cordillera reserve (DRNA).

A less crowded cay on calm days
