Thong Sala Supermarkets (Lotus's, Big C, Tops)

Thong Sala has the biggest supermarkets in the Samui–Tao group outside Samui itself, making it the place for a full provisioning run before heading north.

Practical

Position is Lotus's (formerly Tesco Lotus), open 6am–10pm daily per OpenStreetMap; Wikivoyage calls it the biggest supermarket on the island, with a bakery. OpenStreetMap also lists Big C on the road east of town (8am–10pm), Tops (9am–7pm), Lim Pi Pong (Mon–Sat 8am–6pm) and the Phantip Market food market (noon–midnight). Nira's Home Bakery on the main street opens 7am–7pm. All are a taxi or long walk from the Thong Sala pier; see Thong Sala Pier and Town for the dinghy landing.
