Phuket101 says Khao Pier is where boats from Krabi land and leave (Ao Thalane and Nopparat Thara services mostly run around midday and early afternoon) and that the Tha Khao night market runs daily along the pier road from about 6pm to 8pm. The Hornbill Viewpoint trail starts near the small metal bridge by the pier. The bay dries widely at low tide (Tha Khao Beach links to Koh Nui by a sandbank), so land the dinghy near high water.
