Koh Yao Island Resort Anchorage

8° 7.0′ N · 98° 37.6′ E

A welcoming light-weather stop off Koh Yao Island Resort on Koh Yao Noi's east coast. Yachts can pay to use the spa, restaurant and pool, and a road behind leads to shops and bars.

Practical

Southeast Asia Pilot waypoint 08°6.995N 98°37.566E, about 24 nm from Yacht Haven. Anchor in 8–10 m, mud. An orange marker buoy shows the minimum safe distance from the fringing reef; it is not a mooring. Good in light conditions in both seasons. Behind the resort are a supermarket, roadside bars and restaurants, including the Pirate Ship restaurant. Wikivoyage lists the resort's Rim Thalay restaurant as open 7:30am to 10pm, with evening barbecues. Six Senses Yao Noi, in the bay to the north, no longer welcomes visiting yachts.
