Surin National Park Fee and Burmese Border Permission

9° 25.3′ N · 97° 52.2′ E

Mu Ko Surin is a national park with a daily per-person fee and seasonal closure, and its northern edge is the Thai–Myanmar sea border, which yachts may not cross without prior permission.

Practical

Coordinate is the OSM-mapped Ao Chong Khad bay (HQ). Fee: 500 THB per foreign adult and 250 THB per child aged 3–14 (Thai National Parks, 2026), payable at the Khura Buri visitor centre, at HQ or by the ranger boat at Richelieu Rock. Charges and regulations otherwise follow the Similans (Southeast Asia Pilot). Open 15 October to 15 May; it may close early for weather. Border: the Myanmar border is only a few miles north, and advance permission is required before entering those waters (Southeast Asia Pilot), so do not stray north of Koh Chi. No fishing, no anchoring on coral, and some areas are closed to diving.
