The road bridge across the narrow channel between Lanta Noi and Lanta Yai at Saladan, opened in 2016 and replacing the old inter-island ferry.
Practical
Wikipedia's Ko Lanta district page gives the 2016 opening (the Ko Lanta Yai article says 2015). Southeast Asia Pilot: the bridge looks high enough only for medium-sized powerboats and power cables cross the channel at Saladan too low for sailing yachts, so masted yachts must go round the south of Lanta Yai to reach the east coast.
