7° 28.1′ N · 99° 5.9′ E

The park headquarters at Laem Tanot, Lanta Yai's southern tip, where a white lighthouse stands on a grassy headland between two small beaches. A nature trail loops through the forest behind it.

Practical

Entry for foreign adults 200 THB, children 3-14 100 THB, plus 30 THB per car or 20 THB per motorbike; open 8:30am to 4:30pm daily (thainationalparks.com, June 2026). The 1.7 km circular nature trail starts at the visitor centre and is moderate; the lighthouse is at the west end of Ta Nod beach. Camping at Laem Tanot is 80 THB per person per night, tent hire 450 THB, on the spot only; two park bungalows for 4 people cost 1,500 THB a night. The DNP online booking was down in 2026, so phone the visitor centre (075 656 576) or HQ (075 656 577), ideally with a Thai speaker. From the sea, the cape is exposed; anchor at Khlong Chak and come by road. Position from the OpenStreetMap Laem Tanot viewpoint node.
